Mr. Simon Miró manages all business development and operational aspects for SG Biofuels in Latin America.  He resides in San Jose, Costa Rica and is both a Panamanian and U.S. citizen.
Mr. Simon Miró brings to SG Biofuels a blended background of institutional private equity, business development, and operational experience.  Formerly with Shea Properties, one of the largest real estate development firms in California, Mr. Simon Miró was involved in the acquisitions, development and leasing of commercial, mixed-use and multifamily real estate projects totaling approximately $3.5 billion in portfolio value. Previously with Buchanan Street Partners – one of the premier real estate pension fund advisors in the United States –  Mr. Simon Miró worked directly on the execution of $200+ million in joint-venture equity investments into opportunistic real estate projects.  Before embarking on his career in real estate, Mr. Simon Miró had completed a successful 4-year stint in sales and account management at Quest Software, Inc. – during which time this small start-up tech company he joined experienced massive global growth including one of the Top 10 IPO’s of 2008 (Forbes Magazine).  Mr. Simon Miró holds a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of English from the University of California at Berkeley.
