Georges Daou completed a BS and an MS degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, San Diego (UCSD) before beginning his career at WAVETEK as a design engineer. He quickly started his own company, DAOU Systems Inc. to design, build and manage computer networks for healthcare organizations. He built the business to over $125 million in revenue and took the company public in 1997. He achieved the 4th best IPO that year with an increase of valuation to $700 million.

Mr. Daou went on to invest in select technology companies and serve as chairman of eAssist.com and digitalorchid.com. There he was able to mentor their CEOs and assist with successful growth. As an experienced entrepreneur and investor, his network brought significant value to the companies he assisted.

In 2006, Mr. Daou founded DAOU Vineyards, a 120-acre vineyard based in Paso Robles, California. He created a label that has been successful with the largest distributor in the industry as well as Costco. His first year revenues exceeded $1 million.

Mr. Daou co-founded SG Biofuels in 2007 and currently acts as the Chief Business Development Officer and Chairman of the Board. He brings leadership skills and experience taking a company from zero to profitability as well as a passion for the promise of sustainable biofuels.
